meet your elopement photographer
shelby kua — tù studios
“If you want someone who sees and feels the moment just as deeply as you do, she’s the one.”
photographing elopements changed my life.
Before this, I never felt truly alive in my work.
I was always searching for something that felt more real — something creative, meaningful, human. And when I finally started capturing elopements, it finally clicked.
It’s a culmination of everything I love: deep connection, storytelling, romance, and the sacredness of nature.
This isn’t just what I do — it’s where I feel most myself.
i’m here for the ones who want their story told, their authentic selves celebrated & held.
This is your memories preserved,
exactly how they felt.
what makes me different:
cinematic style
I document your elopement with the same care and intention as a filmmaker — crafting images that feel cinematic and real.
unposed approach
I work quietly and intuitively, so your photos feel natural, not performative.
experience > photos
My job isn’t just to take beautiful pictures — it’s to protect the intimacy and freedom of your elopement. Your experience is my no.1 priority.
redefining what wedding photography can be —
free from pressure, full of feeling, and rooted in who you really are.

more unique things that make me me…
I’ve travelled to 14 countries across 6 continents. I’ve navigated airports, language barriers, remote roads and timezone craziness — I know how to make your destination elopement stress free.
Protecting the landscapes we shoot in is just as important to me as capturing them — we tread lightly and love wildly.
As a queer woman, I know how important it is to feel safe and celebrated — your love is worthy, and I’m honoured to witness it.
My background as an actor means I’m tuned in to emotion and nuance — I know how to spot the real moments and hold space for them.
when I’m not behind the camera I’m…
why “tù”?
tù or 兔 means rabbit — I was born in the Year of the Rabbit!
tù is also a play on words (two), as in the coming together of two, ie. beautiful couples like you.
tù is an homage to my heritage, and to myself — that little girl who never thought she’d be here expressing her true self.
(not a rabbit, but still cute!)
